On February 4, the training “Effective Communication Under Stress” was held in Khust for police officers of the human rights compliance units of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zakarpattia Oblast.
Participants addressed the topic of stress, discussed the role of emotional intelligence in professional duties, and developed emotional self-regulation skills. Particular attention was paid to issues highly relevant to police work: handling hostility and aggression, conflict management strategies, and de-escalation techniques.

The training was led by Olena Kopina, a facilitator and analyst at the NGO “Dialogue in Action.” The event was hosted by the Khust District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zakarpattia Oblast, whom we sincerely thank for their cooperation. We are also grateful to the participants for their openness, engagement, and commitment to developing effective communication skills.

The training was held as part of the certification program “Community Building and Effective Engagement,” implemented by “Dialogue in Action” with the support of the Robert Bosch Stiftung in partnership with the Zakarpattia Christian Institute.
