On December 10, a grant writing training was held at the Volyn Orthodox Theological Academy and facilitated by Dmytro Fedorchak, Education Programs Manager and Co-Coordinator of the NGO Dialogue in Action.
During the session, participants explored the fundamentals of grant writing — how to develop strong applications, where to look for donors, and how to build effective communication. The theoretical input was immediately applied to practical case studies. The Academy team focused on two of their own projects: the development and improvement of a medical chaplaincy program, and the creation of an educational program for spouses of clergy.
Through open discussion and hands-on work with real projects, participants were able to view their ideas from a donor’s perspective, clarify their goals, and identify what needed further refinement before submitting proposals to grant competitions.
We would like to thank Daryna Vakina for initiating the training and for her trust in Dialogue in Action, as well as the Volyn Orthodox Theological Academy for their hospitality and commitment to developing important social initiatives.
