Program Goal:
To strengthen the capacity of secular and religious leaders to effectively support communities and develop ministries within a culture of dialogue and constructive conflict resolution. The program incorporates changes in the social context, a trauma-informed approach, fundamentals of trauma response, and systems analysis.

Organizers:
Implemented by the NGO “Dialogue in Action” in partnership with the Ukrainian Humanitarian Institute (Bucha) and the Volyn Orthodox Theological Academy (Lutsk).

Duration: 2 years

Who is it for?
The program is designed for representatives of religious and secular initiatives/organizations who seek to enhance the effectiveness of their work—including communication and practical activities—while taking into account the broader social context.

Program Includes:

  • Up to six offline training modules, each lasting 3–4 days in an intensive workshop format;
  • Exchange visits and field practice in facilitation and dialogue with colleagues from other regions of Ukraine;
  • Ongoing supervision and support (online and offline) from program experts;
  • Access to practical learning materials and mentorship from experienced practitioners;
  • Membership in the “Dialogue in Action” alumni community with opportunities to participate in joint meetings, conferences, and events.

Program Modules:

  1. Introduction to Conflict Studies: Theories and Practices of Peacebuilding, Concepts of Peace, and Conflict Transformation;
  2. Context Analysis: Sensitive Approach, Conflict Forecasting and Prevention;
  3. Restorative Practices: Understanding Dialogue—its Structure and Methodology;
  4. Facilitation, Mediation, and Restorative Circles: Practical Application and Dialogue Practices in the Reintegration of Defenders and IDPs;
  5. Comparative Theologies of Peace and War;
  6. Trauma-Informed Approach in Practical Ministry;
  7. Designing and Implementing Effective Community and Social Service Initiatives with a Focus on Post-War Recovery.

What We Expect from You:
Please ensure your readiness to actively participate in study and practice over the next 1.5–2 years and submit your application online by 17 November. After the initial selection, shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

Note:
Accommodation, meals, and transportation for offline sessions are covered by the project, except for a one-time enrollment fee at the start of the program.

The program is developed and implemented with the support of the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
