On February 27, community engagement specialists and facilitators of the Caritas Ukraine network took part in an online training on the Circle dialogue practice led by Anna Dovbyk, co-coordinator of Dialogue in Action and dialogue facilitator. The session was co-facilitated by Anna Chudovska, Lead Expert of the “Strengthening Social Cohesion” Program Department at Caritas Ukraine and an active participant in Dialogue in Action’s educational programs.
During the training, participants explored the Circle methodology and experienced it in practice - through personal stories, reflections on community support, and rethinking their own roles within their communities. The practice is based on the principles of voluntary participation, equality, sincerity, respect, and confidentiality, creating a safe space for meaningful dialogue.
For the Caritas team, this approach is an important tool for working with diverse target groups, especially amid social tensions and the challenges caused by the war. The Circle practice helps build dialogue where trust is lacking and find common ground even in difficult circumstances.
