The training "Working in Human-Centred Professions in Times of Uncertainty" was hosted by the charitable foundation Caritas Kolomyia, whose team became the first participants in the programme created by Olena Kopina, curriculum developer at Dialogue in Action, specifically for practitioners in the helping professions.
Fourteen participants took part – psychologists and social workers who provide daily support to people in inclusive resource centres, wellness facilities, and a military hospital.

The programme brought together psychological frameworks for navigating uncertainty, an exploration of ambiguous loss, and practical tools for sustaining inner resilience. The training drew on Nassim Taleb's concept of antifragility, personal myth-making tools, the Hero's Journey framework, and Olena Kopina's own experience as a psychologist and facilitator.

Over two days, participants were able not only to deepen their professional knowledge, but also to engage in shared reflection, peer exchange, and mutual support. The training combined educational and therapeutic elements – something participants noted in their feedback, highlighting both the practical value of the tools and the safe space created for inner restoration. All fourteen participants received certificates upon completion.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Iryna Turianska, a participant in the “Community Building and Effective Engagement” programme, for the invitation, and to the team at Caritas Kolomyia for their warm welcome and engaged participation.
Special thanks go to the Robert Bosch Stiftung, whose support makes it possible to create spaces where practitioners can strengthen their resilience and continue supporting others, even in times of prolonged uncertainty.
