The DuD team successfully delivered the third module of the “The Balance of Your Ministry” program, implemented by the Ukrainian Educational Platform. The session took place at the end of July in Lviv and brought together representatives from various Christian churches.
The key topic of this module focused on the psychosocial aspects of community interaction and conflict resolution — a critical area, as healthy communication and mutual understanding are essential for building resilient and supportive communities. Participants worked with experts from DiA, Olena Kopina and Dmytro Fedorchak.
"The program brings together those who remain committed to faith, hope, and love through dedicated service to others. I was deeply encouraged by the participants’ eagerness to explore the roots of conflict, understand why dialogue is essential for preserving and building relationships, and learn how to engage with veterans in a way that is sensitive and non-harmful," shared Olena Kopina, psychologist and mediation specialist.
The meeting also included pastoral reflections: trainer Dmytro Fedorchak offered a theological perspective on communication and tools for empathy. “We do not heal others through advice or the patronizing attitude of a ‘spiritually superior’ person, but by not turning away from pain, accepting others with their wounds, and humbly inviting them into a space of grace, where they can heal at their own pace,” he added.

Two more modules remain in the program, covering equally important themes that will strengthen the participants' ministries. The DuD team is set to return for the November session. The “Balance of Your Ministry” project is implemented in partnership with DanChurchAid and Norwegian Church Aid in Ukraine, with financial support from Norad.
