At the request of a participant in the program “Psychological Support at the Heart of Spiritual Service”, we conducted a supervision session in Lutsk on September 11. The session focused on burnout, understanding personal needs and emotions, and managing one’s own well-being.
The supervision brought together priests, chaplains, medical professionals, volunteers, and forensic experts. Participants explored how to recognize early signs of burnout, what needs are often masked by excessive workloads, and how to find balance between serving others and caring for oneself. Thanks for the supportive atmosphere and the chance to have a good, hearty laugh — humor can be a real lifesaver :)
“Those specialists who work closely with matters of death understand the value of life and the gift of a new day like no one else," noted Ms. Olena.
The session was facilitated by Olena Kopina – facilitator, trainer, and analyst at Dialogue in Action, as well as Tetiana Kalenychenko – co-founder of the organization, dialogue facilitator, and trainer in restorative practices.
We extend our gratitude to Father Yurii and Ms. Larysa Blyzniuk for co-organizing, and to the parish of the Church of St. Job of Pochaiv (UOC-KP) in Lutsk and its rector, Father Oleksandr Vronskyi, for their warm hospitality and providing a space for open conversation.
This is a reminder that registration for the second cohort of the program “Psychological Support at the Heart of Spiritual Service” is open until September 22. The registration form is available at the link.
