Over the course of three days, participants attended lectures and training sessions at the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences. Despite the many challenges of our turbulent times nighttime shelling, large-scale power outages, and disruptions to heating – the training was carried out as planned. We are especially grateful to the team of the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences for making this possible.

During the first module, participants immersed themselves in the foundations of practical and crisis psychology. They explored working with emotions and feelings, discussed identity and emotional burnout, examined the interaction between psychology and religion, and reflected on religious coping as a way to support people in difficult life circumstances.
The module combined theory and practice, including lectures, individual and group exercises, discussions, and the analysis of real-life cases from participants’ own experiences. A particularly valuable part of the module was the live exchange of experiences and the opportunity to jointly reflect on the challenges participants face in their professional work or ministry.

Throughout the three days, participants were supported by facilitators from Dialogue in Action: Denys Brylov, Olena Kopina, Anna Dovbyk, Dmytro Fedorchak, and Taras Dyatlik.
We sincerely thank all participants for their openness to learning, authenticity, and active engagement. We also extend our gratitude to the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences, and personally to Liudmyla Shtanko, for their hospitality and support in organizing the module. Special thanks go to our partners, Kerk in Actie, for their continued support.

The first module has now been completed, and we are already looking forward to the next meeting in March.
